Yantra - Questions and Answers for the Divine Product

Q. Do I have to have a guru to initiate Mantra Diksha before I use mantras that you have provided me?

We were not the ones who gave you with these Mantras. They are of Divine origin.

It is always a good idea to have a Guru, but you shouldn’t wait around for one to find you. You shouldn’t wait around to look for one either. While looking for a credible guru, you should start your mantra discipline with the faith that you will be guided by Divine power. Here are two very helpful stories that many guru-seekers find useful, taken from the text Mahabaratha:

  1. Eklavya was a poor boy of low social status who had an interest in archery. He approached the Royal Guru Dronacharya and asked him if he’d teach him the art of archery. The Royal Guru dronacharya refused to accept little Eklavya as a student. As a tenacious boy, Eklavya was determined to learn the art anyway. He proceeded to make a clay idol of the Royal Guru. Eklavya offered the idol flowers and perfumes and performed his self-taught lessons for it. He had seen the Guru teach other children and imagined that he was being trained by the Guru himself. He pursued his art voraciously. With faith, focus and Divine blessings he acquired high knowledge of the art of archery. He attributed his success to the Royal Guru. He became so accomplished that he managed to quiet a disruptive barking dog by filling its mouth with seven arrows without harming the animal.
  2. Karna, the son of a charioteer and warrior by birth, wanted Royal Guru Dronacharya to teach him the art of warfare. The Royal Guru refused to teach Karna because the Royal Guru was unaware that Karna was in fact a Kshatriya (warrior). Karna was also a tenacious young man and decided to self-appoint the Sun God as his Guru, since – by tradition – he was obligated to have a guru. With the Sun God as his Guru, and with the help of his brother, he gathered all the knowledge he could find about the various weapons and mastered them to perfection. He became so skilled that he was able to shoot out both the eyes of a wooden crow in a single shot. He took great pride in this knowing that Arjun, one of the Royal Guru’s prized students, could only shoot out one eye in the wooden crow.

The moral of Eklavya’s and Karna’s stories are that you shouldn’t wait for a guru to appear. Instead, assume your deity is your guru. Visualize that you are receiving your diksha from your deity, recite the respective mantra, and continue with your discipline. You will definitely receive Divine blessings.

Q. I have idols and pictures of Mahalakshmi & Ganapathi in my home puja mandir. Should I have Yantra too?

Pictures and idols are just that, pictures and idols. Pictures and idols don’t have powers. But they do help to focus your attention and help you to visualize the attributes of the Goddess, which is good for your power of thought. But this doesn’t transmit Divine energy. That’s the reason a majority of Hindu temples, if not all, have energized Yantras enshrined or placed near the deities.  By having an energized Yantra in your puja mandir at home, the picture and idol will receive the energy transmitted from Yantra. The picture and idol will then become energized as well.

Q. I don't have the time to chant mantras for 21 days. I have faith in Yantras and I can devote more time to worshipping and performing puja on weekends. Will that help me?

If you don't have 21 continuous days to spend on mantras then don't waste your money for this Yantra.  Yantra, mantra and the worshiper all have to align to get the desired results. Even Yantras in the temples lose their potency if daily pujas are not performed. Divine energy vibration is maintained only through the repetition of mantras.  If your doctor prescribes a medicine for you, you don’t simply take it home, keep it in the shelf, and look at everyday hoping it will cure your ailment. Purchasing the medicine shows you are serious about the cure, but you have to take the medicine to cure your ailment. The same can be said of mantras.

Q. Is it necessary to perform puja everyday for 21 days?

The first day you install the Yantra at your home puja mandir, and thereafter every Friday, you will need to spend more time on pooja. For other days, chanting mantra 108 times or more is just fine. After 21 days of discipline, you can reduce the number of repitions 9, 27 or 54 times. What is really important is that you must recite the mantras every day.

Q. If I don’t have faith will this Yantra help me?

If you don’t have faith then why would you want to purchase this Yantra? You have to believe that the miracle will happen. You have to have faith for Yantra to work. Yantra, Mantra and the worshiper all have to align to get the results you seek.

Q. I have been worshipping Shri Gayatri Mahalakshmi Kubera Yantra (in paper) and I would like to get a copper Yantra as well; can I have both in my prayer room?

Of course you can. But why would you want to unless to get the colorful view of the Yantra? They both have the same power. Perhaps you would consider some other options? You could give the Yantra (in paper) to someone near and dear, someone who you wish abundance and wealth upon (be sure to follow the instructions). By giving the Yantra you will not lose anything, but gain. You can keep the Yantra in your place of business, since this Yantra is good for vyapar vridhi (improvement in business). Or perhaps, you can store the Yantra in your briefcase and enjoy the ability to pray, no matter where you are?

Q. I’m interested in purchasing this Yantra; however, I’m afraid that I will make a mistake in my pronunciation while reciting Sanskrit mantras. What should I do?

Remember, faith, devotion and engagement is what are most important. We will recommend to you some Youtube videos where you can view powerful mantra chanting, which you can use while you are worshipping. If you are not comfortable chanting Sanskrit mantras you still can receive the same benefits by attentively listening to the mantra chanting of others and by engaging yourself in the prayers and puja by reciting the Pranava Mantra: OM… OM… OM… Make sure that you focus your full attention on the Yantra while it’s being chanted. While you are watching and listening to the audio and videos, you can recite the Pranava Mantra OM, and engage yourself in the mantra chant.

Q. What is the red and sticky stuff on the Yantra?

Kumkum, Ghee and honey are used in the processes of prana pratishta (energizing) and homa.  You may see some traces of these substances on the Yantra from previous rituals. If the Yantra has kumkum on it, apply it to your forehead. Remove the rest from your Yantra with a clean, damp cloth or tissue paper.

Q. Why do I see a nail hole in the paper Yantra?

The hole was made in the paper for a purpose. You shouldn’t worry about it unless it is located within the circles (mandala), other sacred diagrams, or mystic number and number combinations.

Q.  Should we have a Laksmi idol or photo beside the Yantra when installing it in our home temple (puja mandir)?

Not necessarily; however, if you have the photo or idol already, you can place it beside Shri Gayatri Mahalakshmi Kubra Yantra and your idol / picture will receive the energy vibration from the Yantra.

Q. I would like to have two Yantras, one for our home temple and another for my place of business.  Should I follow the 21 day discipline at both places?

You can keep both Yantras at home (puja mandir) and worship for 21 days. After 21 days you can take one of them to your place of business and place it in a clean area.  Recite mantras for Ganapathy and Mahalakshmi before you open for business everyday. You can chant mantras 9, 27, 54, or 108 times, depending on how much time you have to spare. This will likely take about 3 - 15 minutes.

Q. Is it necessary to perform puja on a Yantra that has already been energized through prana pratishta?

Puja and prana pratishta are two different things. Prana pratishta and Homa are performed according to scriptures by a vedic priest. The secret mantra given in the vision is infused to Yantra by the Laxmi devotee, according to Divine command. But puja to the Yantra can be done by anyone, a Vedic priest, a devotee, or by a group of people, but one person must lead the group.  Puja is a way of venerating the Divine power that has entered into your house. Furthermore, it is important that the energy vibration in the Yantra and mantra, are aligned with that of the devotee by chanting mantra for 21 days according to instructions; thereafter the same number of times or in a lesser number (108, 54, 27, or 9) of times. Mantra is energy-based sound vibrations; Yantra is an instrument that holds the energy vibration and emits its divine vibration to its surrounding.

Q. While I am engaged in mantra - Japa, I experience the feelings of inner satisfaction and oneness with God. Is this natural?

Of course! Devotees often report different experiences; some experience great inner oneness while others don’t experience anything at all. If you are a devotee that receives these feelings, be happy, but do not lose focus. Keep praying. If you haven’t gotten a Divine experience, don’t become disheartened. Patience will pay off. Pay close attention to the changes happening in and around you. Soon you will begin to notice things you hadn’t before.  This, in and of itself, is an experience.

Q.  I have completed my 21-day discipline and am continuing my prayers. After eight weeks, I have started to experience some unusually pleasant feelings and dreams. Is this normal?

This is completely normal. Spiritual forces are at work. Keep praying with faith, devotion, and the belief that great things will happen to you.

Q. When is it the best time to chant mantra?

Anytime is a good time to interact with God. However, when your mind is at peace it is the easiest to focus. Early morning and in the evenings seem to be when the mind is most restful. We recommend starting a couple hours before dawn or in the evening after the workday has concluded and the house chores are done.

Q. Is Mahalakshmi a supreme God?

There are many Gods in Hinduism, but all of those Gods are manifestations of one God. When you worship Maha Lakshmi, you focus your attention and worship on the feminine energy of God, who represents richness, money, wealth, fortunes, prosperity, and abundance.

Top

Q. Are there any restrictions as to who can and should chant Gayatri Mantra?

No.

Top

Q. I don’t have any desires. Can I still pray to Devi Mahalakshmi?

Yes, there is nothing wrong with that. Maha Lakshmi is a feminine energy; irrespective of your desires, you will still be blessed.

Q. I would like to chant mantras at least 1008 times a day, it this okay?

Yes, it is okay. However, remember that everything must be done in balance. It isn’t appropriate to ignore the work that has to be done or family that needs to be cared for in order to chant more mantras. God helps those who help themselves. Perform your puja as you normally would and chant mantras 108 times per day. You now have completed your usual mantra chanting. If you are interested in chanting more mantras than is required, you can chant them while performing relatively easy tasks such as walking, jogging, bathing, without compromising your worldly tasks. You then can rest assured knowing that you’ve already completed the required number of chants.

Q. Why is it 21 days not 40 days?

A. 40-day Prana Pratista and Homa have already been completed by vedic priests. You don’t have to practice the 40-day discipline. You only need to practice the 21-day discipline to connect with Yantra energy. Any practice beyond 21 days is made at your discretion. However, remember that after 21 days, you still have to pray but you can reduce the number of repetitions of mantras.

Q. Can we buy Shri Gayatri Mahalakshmi Kubera Yantra in person?

When you place an order for Sri Gayatri Mahalakshmi Kubera Yantra (paper or copper), make sure that you give us your first name, last name, date of birth (date only), and the total of the numbers contained in your date of birth (e.g. if your birthday is 10 March, 1963, then the total of the digits would equate to 23: example: 10+03+1963=23. Your numbers are 10 & 23). If you know your Nakshatra (star), provide that as well. This is optional. We will use this information when the Yantra is infused with the secret mantra.

Q. Can my wife and children perform daily puja on my behalf?

If this is a 21-day discipline then it should be you that performs it. Of course, your wife and children are welcome to join you. Mantras are energy-based sound, so the more people participating, the more energy created. Especially when husband and wife jointly chant mantras the masculine and feminine energies at work resonate well with Mantras.

Q. If I am away for an extended period of time, can my wife and children perform daily puja at home on my behalf?

Yes. They can perform daily puja on your behalf and you can also join them in the puja mentally. To do this, carry a Yantra with you wherever you go. Sync the time to begin praying with your family (be sure to account for time differences!). Place your Yantra on a clean surface. A ghee lamp is preferred when perfuming puja. However, it’s not always possible to carry a ghee lamp or candle when you are staying in hotel rooms or visiting common places. A shade lamp works as an alternative. Utilize the shade lamp by switching on the lamp and focus your thinking as you would with a ghee lamp. Electric power also has energy.
If you can’t sync your time of prayer with your family, you can still do it by visualizing that you are performing puja with them at home. They can do the same while they are at home. They can also perform puja at a time that is convenient for them, or a time that isn’t synced with your puja. This is also a very powerful method.

Q. A few days ago, I received the copper Yantra in exchange for the paper Yantra (I’m keeping the paper Yantra as a gift) and now I would like to gift the paper Yantra to a family member. Can I give the paper Yantra to a family member? By doing that am I sending the blessing of Laksmi devi as well?

Don’t gift the Yantra until you’ve completed the 21 day discipline for the copper Yantra. Then, invite your family member over on a Thursday morning or in the evening and worship the Yantra together as a family. Afterwards, take the Yantra from the puja mandir and give it to her/Him with the following blessings, “I give this Yantra blessed in my name to you whole heartedly. I wish you and your family the abundance and all good things that I wished for me and my family by giving this to you as a gift. This Yantra is now yours.” Your family member should accept it with both hands, kiss the Yantra, and say the following, “Thank you and I wish you and your family all that you’ve wished for me and my family by giving this powerful gift to me. Devi Shri Mahalaksmi in your puja mandir and home will shower you with all the blessings.” The Yantra is now transferred to her name. Remember, by gifting the Yantra you won’t lose anything. On the contrary, you will gain and reap the rewards many times over. Givers are blessed!
